The One Thing I Absolutely Can't Do Without By http://www.mysportsbookonline.info/
As a busy wife, mother, SAHM, and WAHM I have found that there is one thing that I absolutely cannot do without in my kitchen. I bet you can't guess what that might be. I will give you a couple of hints: it's very inexpensive and completely simple to use. still not sure? O.K. It is something that can help you save time, money, energy and dishes. If you guessed waxed paper, then you are absolutely correct. I have to tell you I am a busy mom, and I don't want to waste precious time on extra clean-up when I am making tasty fluffy biscuits or wonderful cookies for my family. Waxed paper has come to my rescue many, many times. Here are 7 ways you can use waxed paper to cut down on clean-up time in your kitchen. 1. Line your work surface with the paper when you are going to roll out biscuits, pie crusts or cookies. Don't you just hate it when the flour and pastry just stick to whatever surface you are rolling them out on? You can sprinkle a light dusting of flour on the the paper and then roll out your dough just like you normally would. When you are done rolling and cutting out your pastry, just fold up the the paper and toss it in the trash. 2. You can use waxed paper when you are making candies and drop cookies, such as no-bake chocolate cookies or fudge. Just drop your cookies or candies on sheets of the paper and let them set up. Once everything has setup and you have placed them into storage containers, toss the the paper in the trash. 3. You are going to sift together dry ingredients for a recipe you can use a sheet of paper to sift them on instead of having to dirty an
extra mixing bowl. A lot of recipes call for you to sift your flour together with salt, sugar, and baking powder. This helps cut down on dishes also. 4. You can also use small sheets of paper to place spices and other dry ingredients on when you are cooking or baking. 5. You can place small sheets of waxed paper between leftover pancakes or waffles to keep them from sticking together. 6. When you are going to store cookies, pancakes, waffles or candies in the freezer you can place sheets of waxed paper between the layers to keep them from clumping together. This also works really well for hamburger patties. 7. You can also use paper as a spoon rest while you are cooking. I have a pretty spoon rest but it's more for decoration than any practical use. With waxed paper you can just put your spoon in the sink and toss the waxed paper in the trash. I am pretty sure once you start using this paper in your kitchen you will find many more useful ways to put it to use. Once you start using the paper you will notice that cleanup is a lot quicker, so you save time. You will also notice that you don't have quite so many dishes to do. Therefore saving on water and energy. It's absolutely amazing how much waxed paper can make time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable. Cora Griswold is a WAHM with 4 children from Indiana.
